Pacific Medical Centers administers the northwest region of the United States Family Health Plan (USFHPNW). As part of this, they exposed a Provider Locator which allowed patients and others to quickly access information on Physicians, Facilities and Medical Equipment. Unfortunately, due to a version conflict between Google Maps and the underlying software in use, the Locator was no longer fully functional. Another problem: It was not engineered to be updated directly by the MDStaff information they now had available.

Coho worked with Pacific Medical Center and USFHPNW stakeholders to define requirements, design a new front end display, design and build the Locator data model and connect to the MD Staff API with all appropriate security measures, error-handling, logging and backups. The result is a new, mobile-friendly locator that is wicked fast and updated daily with current data on USFHPNW approved Physicians, Clinics, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Hospices and Durable Medical Equipment providers.

Recently, Coho worked with USFHPNW to add approved Pharmacies to the Locator from a separate data source to which they now had access.
